Mehlwurm – Organic Bakery

Mehlwurm is an organic, whole-grain bakery founded in 1983 in Berlin, Kreuzberg as a self-governing collaborative. Until today they follow their standard of combining handcraft-baking and alternative operative structures such as shared ownership and low hierarchies.

Mehlwurm is committed to ecologically flawless and environmentally sustainable production of bread and pastries, while also cultivating good humor and not taking themselves too seriously: The company's chosen name 'Mehlwurm' translates to 'flour worm'!
